RESEARCH SCIENTIST 3 CHUNG LAB
Picower Institute for Learning and Memory is a pivotal role responsible for generating spatial transcriptomic and proteomic optical imaging data of human and non-human primate brains utilizing the novel technology pipeline established by the Chung Lab, including tissue processing, molecular probe staining, and volumetric data acquisition using light sheet microscopes.
Will be a direct contributor to a large NIH UM1 research center entitled Center for Multi-scale Multi-Omic Human and Non-human Primate Atlas.
The primary responsibilities of the research scientist are to independently conduct experiments and optimize various protocols to ensure successful and consistent results. Work closely with the collaborating teams across the center to conduct necessary protocol validation experiments.
Work closely with the Principal Investigator and key personnel of the Center to meet the milestone timeline via routine updates. Meeting with Project Teams/Programs/Cores for the center.
Assist with preparation of progress reports for funded research projects. Ensure timely data generation and experimental research progress.
Independently conduct and lead experiments to meet the requirement of overall center goals, with assistance from junior research staff.
