    Prolim is hiring for a Research Program Manager for a leadin client.

    Summary

    Reality Labs Entertainment (RLE) is looking for a Research Program Manager to serve as the bridge between Meta's research organization and external-facing project output. This role sits at the intersection of media technology, immersive media research, and production - managing the release of research-adjacent projects, written papers, and open content initiatives to audiences both inside and outside Meta.

    You'll work closely with a tight-knit pod of 4-5 people day to day, collaborating across research, legal, policy, operations, and production teams. The ideal candidate understands how research organizations operate, has a background in imaging or immersive media, and can navigate both technical and creative stakeholders - from researchers to Hollywood production professionals.

    Job Responsibilities

    Key projects this CW will be working on: RLE Technology projects including Meta Open Content

    • Organizing and managing multi-format (media) production data, such as stereoscopic and volumetric assets.
    • Creating a sustainable storage and egress plan that accounts for budget, policy, and redundancy.
    • Designing and implementing tiered access workflows for data, catering to various project stakeholders.
    • Collaborating with legal, policy, operations, (media) production, and research teams to manage data access.
    • Building relationships with external entities, such as open content initiatives and standards bodies.
    • Evaluating opportunities and potential partnerships with external organizations.
    • Applying research-style publication methodologies to research-adjacent projects.

    Must Have Skills

    • Cross-Functional Program Leadership: Proven experience leading programs and delivering on time within a matrixed organization - comfortable operating across research, production, legal, and policy teams.
    • Strategic Communication: Ability to communicate with and influence both deeply technical and production-focused audiences.
    • Data Governance Knowledge: Experience with tiered-access concepts and partnering with operations, legal, and policy teams on data management.
    • Immersive Media Expertise: Familiarity with stereoscopic and volumetric media formats and their production pipelines.
    • Research Org Experience: Understanding of how research organizations operate - publication cycles, external release processes, and collaboration with academic or standards communities.

    Nice to Have

    • Public Access & Security: Experience publishing to public-facing endpoints and managing access-control concepts (IAM, SSO).
    • Technical Scripting: Experience scripting for batch media processing operations, including tools like ffmpeg and AI tooling.
    • Industry Context: Knowledge of VR headsets, immersive media experience types in entertainment, or research publication standards.
    • Industry Experience: Prior experience at Meta, Apple, Google, or comparable technology/research organizations - particularly in imaging, media technology, or immersive media.
    • Entertainment & Production Awareness: Familiarity with media production workflows; experience working with or adjacent to entertainment/Hollywood production teams is a plus (not required).

    Education/Experience

    • 5+ years in research program management in imaging-related fields or entertainment
    • Bachelor's degree - Nice but not required
