    Responsibilities

    • Participate in the implementation of statewide perinatal behavioral health integration projects in Florida. Help conduct trainings in evidence-based care for perinatal/maternal behavioral health conditions to health care professionals.
    • Assist the PI with behavioral health integration workflows, clinical protocols, screening and referral processes, and evidence-based models of collaborative care.
    • Responsibilities may also include consultation with primary care clinicians, population-based behavioral health management, interdisciplinary team meetings, and assistance with the development of strategies to improve patient engagement and access to behavioral health services.
    • Contribute to education and training activities for physicians, residents, medical students, behavioral health professionals, and other health care providers.
    • Training activities may include behavioral health screening, assessment, brief intervention, evidence-based psychotherapy, collaborative care, behavioral health consultation, and implementation of integrated behavioral health practices.
    • Additional responsibilities may include participation in program evaluation, quality improvement, data collection and analysis, preparation of reports and presentations, and dissemination of findings related to behavioral health integration and health care delivery.
    • Assistance with preparation of scientific manuscripts and grants is expected.

    Qualifications

    • An appropriate doctoral or terminal professional degree in a mental health discipline, such as a MD, DO, PhD, PsyD, DSW, LICSW, or equivalent degree, from an accredited institution.
    • The successful candidate must be eligible for and maintain unrestricted professional licensure in the State of Florida. Physician candidates must be board-eligible or board-certified in psychiatry, as applicable. Psychologist candidates must have completed an APA-accredited doctoral program and internship, or equivalent training acceptable for state licensure. Candidates from other independently licensed mental health professions must meet all applicable educational, training, certification, and scope-of-practice requirements.
    • Candidates must demonstrate clinical expertise in the assessment and evidence-based treatment of behavioral health conditions and the ability to provide services within an interdisciplinary health care environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience or demonstrated expertise in behavioral health integration, primary care behavioral health, collaborative care, health services delivery, and interdisciplinary consultation is strongly preferred.
