Job Description:

The Department of Epidemiology at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time, in person Research Coordinator II position. The Research Coordinator II (RC II) will oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations of an NIH-funded R01 research project examining multilevel social drivers of cardiovascular health. The project includes community-engaged research activities, stakeholder engagement through a Community Advisory Panel (CAP), qualitative interviews, Delphi consensus methods, and development of public-facing implementation deliverables. The Research Coordinator II will serve as the operational lead for study implementation under the general direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), ensuring adherence to study protocols, regulatory requirements, project timelines, and quality assurance procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating regulatory activities and IRB submissions; managing recruitment and engagement of CAP members, stakeholders, and study participants; supervising graduate assistants and other research personnel; coordinating qualitative interviews and Delphi surveys; organizing CAP meetings and study logistics; managing participant incentives and honoraria; maintaining study documentation and regulatory files; monitoring protocol fidelity and data quality; coordinating communications among investigators, collaborators, and community partners; and assisting with project reporting and dissemination activities. The coordinator will collaborate closely with investigators, staff, and trainees to identify operational challenges, develop efficient study procedures, and ensure successful completion of project milestones.

Research Coordination:

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the R01 research project.
• Develop, implement, and monitor study procedures to ensure efficient project operations.
• Coordinate project timelines, milestones, and study deliverables.
• Organize Community Advisory Panel meetings, stakeholder engagement activities, and research team meetings.
• Coordinate logistics for qualitative interviews, Delphi surveys, and other project activities.
• Supervise graduate assistants and other research personnel involved in study implementation.
• Coordinate procurement and management of study materials and supplies.
• Manage participant honoraria and Community Advisory Panel incentives.
• Monitor protocol adherence, study quality assurance, and project documentation.
• Serve as liaison among investigators, collaborators, community organizations, and University offices.
• Coordinate project communications and assist investigators with sponsor communications and project reporting.

Regulatory Compliance and Research Administration

• Coordinate all IRB activities, including new submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, reportable events, and study closeout.
• Maintain regulatory binders, study documentation, and Manual of Operations.
• Ensure compliance with NIH, University, federal, and human subjects protection regulations.
• Monitor study activities to ensure protocol fidelity and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate required regulatory documentation across collaborating investigators and participating organizations.
• Assist with development and implementation of standard operating procedures.

Participant Recruitment and Research Activities

• Coordinate recruitment and engagement of Community Advisory Panel members, stakeholders, and study participants.
• Oversee participant screening, informed consent, scheduling, and study administration.
• Coordinate implementation of qualitative interviews and Delphi survey activities.
• Monitor recruitment, retention, and study progress.
• Ensure accurate documentation and secure management of study data.
• Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and manuscripts as appropriate.

Expected Salary:

$56,168 - $62,375 commensurate with education, skills, and experience

Required Qualifications:

Driver''''s License required for local travel

Preferred:

• Experience coordinating NIH-funded research studies
• Experience with human subjects'''' research and IRB submissions
• Experience coordinating qualitative research and/or community-engaged research
• Experience supervising research assistants or students
• Experience with REDCap and electronic data capture systems
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience coordinating Community Advisory Boards, stakeholder engagement, or implementation research
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience with participant recruitment and retention
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management software
