Pay Rate : $50/hr on W2

Seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to support preclinical inflammation research and evaluation of novel therapeutics using in vivo mouse models. The role requires strong hands-on rodent skills and the ability to independently execute daily study activities, including dosing, monitoring, blood collection, necropsy, and tissue processing. Off-shift and weekend support will be required for some studies. Willingness to provide frequent evening, off-shift, and weekend study support.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute in vivo studies using preclinical mouse models of inflammation, immunology, and/or related disease areas.
- Perform rodent handling, restraint, and dosing via PO, IV, IP, and SQ routes.
- Conduct body weight, food consumption, clinical observations, and animal health assessments.
- Perform in-life and terminal blood collection, including tail vein, submandibular, retro-orbital, and cardiac collection.
- Support euthanasia, necropsy, tissue/fluid collection, and sample processing for ex vivo analysis.
- Assist with study setup, maintenance, takedown, and dose formulation/calculations.
- Operate and maintain laboratory and in vivo study equipment.
- Accurately document experimental procedures, observations, and results.
- Follow animal welfare, safety, regulatory, and laboratory procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate study progress and findings.
Qualifications
- BS/BA/Associates in Biological Sciences or related field with 2+ years of laboratory animal research experience, preferably PK/PD; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Strong hands-on experience with murine models and rodent dosing techniques.
- Experience in inflammation, immunology, oncology, or other preclinical disease models preferred.
- Knowledge of USDA, animal welfare, and AAALAC guidelines is a plus.
- Ability to organize and execute studies with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel; GraphPad Prism and PowerPoint are a plus.
- Willingness to provide frequent evening, off-shift, and weekend study support.
