    Description

    We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Research Associate II for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in South San Francisco, CA. Details of the position are as follows:
    Job Description:
    • $31.00–$35.38/hr!
    • Monday–Friday
    • This position is a 15.5-month contract assignment.
    • Position will be responsible for performing hands-on small animal in vivo studies, including animal monitoring, dosing, sampling, necropsy, organ collection, and dissection.
    • Position will also be responsible for administering study compounds through various routes, including intraperitoneal (i.p.), subcutaneous (s.c.), and oral (p.o.) dosing.
    • Position will also be responsible for maintaining accurate study records, documenting experimental activities, communicating study progress, and supporting data collection, organization, analysis, and interpretation.
    • Position will also support general laboratory operations, including ordering and stocking supplies, inventory tracking, maintaining laboratory cleanliness, autoclaving materials, and proper disposal of biohazardous and chemical waste.
    • Position may involve working with infectious and/or biohazardous materials and requires adherence to all applicable laboratory safety and ethical practices.
    • Weekend and off-hours weekday coverage may be required based on study needs.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related scientific discipline with 1+ years of small animal in vivo experience, or equivalent experience is Required!
    • Hands-on experience with small animal handling, dosing, sampling, necropsy, organ collection, and dissection is Required!
    • Experience with common animal administration routes, including i.p., s.c., and p.o. dosing, is Required!
    • Experience with ELISA, flow cytometry, or molecular biology techniques is Preferred!
    • Ability to independently design and conduct in vivo studies is Preferred!
    • Familiarity with computational analysis of bulk RNA-seq or single-cell RNA-seq (scRNA-seq) data is Preferred!
