Job Overview

We are seeking a Research Associate II – Pilot Plant to support reagent manufacturing and laboratory operations within a fast-paced research and development environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on laboratory professional who enjoys working in a production-focused setting and is passionate about maintaining quality, accuracy, and compliance throughout the manufacturing process.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reagent formulation, laboratory testing, data analysis, documentation, and supporting Research Use Only (RUO) production activities. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the development and production of innovative products while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a regulated laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, formulate, and process reagents according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Perform laboratory experiments, analytical testing, and data collection to support manufacturing and development activities.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental results, documenting findings accurately and completely.
  • Support RUO production operations, including reagent formulation, filling, labeling, packaging, and inventory management.
  • Maintain detailed laboratory records, batch documentation, and production logs in compliance with company procedures.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
  • Follow all laboratory safety protocols, quality requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and research teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
  • Assist with inventory control, material tracking, and production planning activities using inventory management systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on laboratory experience in a research, manufacturing, biotechnology, diagnostics, or related environment.
  • Experience performing laboratory testing, sample preparation, reagent preparation, or formulation activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in reagent formulation, buffer preparation, or chemical/biological manufacturing processes.
  • Previous experience in a clinical laboratory, biotechnology, diagnostics, or fast-paced production environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), quality systems, and laboratory compliance requirements.
  • Experience using SAP or similar inventory, manufacturing, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Familiarity with batch records, production documentation, and inventory control processes.
