Responsibilities

  • Support the Secretary of War for Science and Technology (S&T) Program Protection as it guides and supports modern research and analysis of strategic Critical Areas of Technoloy, Bio-Technology, Directed Energy, Hypersonics, AI, Logistics
  • Advise top Pentagon leadership on biotechnology issues
  • Work to evaluate and secure cutting-edge technology essential to the modernization of national strategy in defense.
  • Represent USD R&E on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and participate in Government-approved conferences and forums in addition to specific USD R&E projects.
  • Assist, prepare and conduct meetings for current Biotechnology issues.
  • Conduct biotechnology research analysis.
  • Develop and coordinate concepts and requirements for the application of current and emerging technologies as they apply to DoD''s R&E program.
  • Assist and prepare presentations and reports to DoW leadership and outside DoW.
  • Track the department-wide budget for efforts aligning with Biotechnology.
  • Maintain and update Biotechnology modernization roadmaps, coordinate roadmaps with key stakeholders.
  • Make recommendations to the development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) pertinent to mission needs and technical capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 7yrs years of experience of engineering, biotechnology, and Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E).
  • Master's degree in STEM and minimum of 5-years recent experience in biotechnology or an MBA degree.
  • Experience with Python, R, Share-point Development.
  • TS/SCI Clearance Eligibility.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
  • Excellent writing, communication and briefing.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $165,000.00/Yr. - USD $185,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. AMERICAN SYSTEMS provides for the welfare of its employees and their dependents through a comprehensive benefits program by offering healthcare benefits, paid leave, retirement plans, insurance programs, and education and training assistance.
