Description: Works under the direction of a faculty member. Provides expertise in the design, operation and analysis of experiments or research projects in areas such as chemistry, biology, psychology, sociology, mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, optometry, all fields of engineering, etc. May prepare samples for testing. Performs advanced testing procedures and performs analyses of data. Prepares reports. Makes uses of a variety of specialized equipment typical within area of specialization. May contribute to grant proposal development.

Additional Information:
In this role, you will have both management and experimental responsibilities including but not limited to mouse colony and laboratory management, tissue collection and histology, behavioral studies, and data analysis. Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) are highly desired as is a high degree of organization ability. Finally, in this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute original ideas to research design and execution of projects, and serve as co-author to prepare reports and manuscripts for publication.

• Designs, conducts and analyzes research large experiments or research projects • May liase with other areas of specialization • Personally conducts important and/or technically complex investigations • Operates with considerable independence, provides direction and supervision to graduate or undergraduate students
Position Details:
Position is funded from research support funds and may be supported from grant funds.
Requirements:
Experience will be considered in lieu of education. Education will be considered in lieu of experience. MQ: Ph.D. Degree with 3 years of experience.
