The Department of Pediatrics is recruiting for a Research Assistant.
Function/Duties of Position:The purpose of this position is to conduct supervised research in the lab of Dr. Bret Pearson, using zebrafish to study adult stem cell biology, brain cancer stem cells, and neural regeneration. All of these topics are unified by the field of developmental biology and we use common molecular biology techniques, live-imaging, genetics, and single-cell genomics to study these processes. We are looking for an enthusiastic Research Assistant who has extensive experience using zebrafish to study molecular biological questions. In addition to the technical aspects of the job and a keen eye for details, this position will be integral to the lab culture and work ethic going.
