Research and Development Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Research and Development Technician to join their team. As a Research and Development Technician, you will be part of the Gummy Laboratory supporting the Research and Development department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, independence, and strong communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Research and Development Technician

Location: Valencia, CA

Pay Range: $27/hr.

Shift: M-F 8am-5pm

Duration: Temp (End of December - Possible extension)

What's the Job?

• Provide technical support to the Gummy Laboratory, performing physical testing functions.
• Debuck gummies and starch trays according to batch requirements.
• Assist in monitoring product and equipment for accuracy and cleanliness.
• Select samples for in-process and final evaluations, performing appropriate tests.
• Document testing results accurately and input data into computer systems.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent; courses in chemistry, laboratory work, or algebra preferred.
• Three months to one year of prior laboratory experience.
• Ability to operate measurement equipment such as scales and calipers.
• Proficiency with PC applications and data entry.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
