Overview:
Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and managing the clinical medical records system. The Customer Service Representative will serve as a liaison between patients and hospital staff.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Education:
- Completion of a Medical Terminology course.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage stressful situations with professionalism, patience, and courtesy.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with patients, families, and team members.
Required Experience:
- One to two (1–2) years of customer service experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Two (2) years of customer service experience within a healthcare-related environment.
Patient Population Served:
- Provides support to patients across all age groups.
