Ragan Communications seeks a reporter with trade publication experience to write smart, service-driven content that educates professional audiences and drives engagement, registrations and long-term brand value.

Our content, conferences, research and sponsored programs are all fueled by strong storytelling, thoughtful reporting and strategic content marketing. This role blends editorial rigor with marketing instincts - creating content that informs, attracts and converts audiences across articles, events, research and sponsored campaigns. We focus especially on utility and trend-based journalism, not people moves or enterprise. If you love learning and teaching, this is a role you can thrive in.

In a typical week, you might interview a Fortune 100 chief communications officer, develop content to support an upcoming conference and curate timely industry coverage. You'll work closely with editors, conference producers and marketing partners in a collaborative, fully remote environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Write original, reported articles for PR Daily that educate audiences and drive sustained engagement.
• Create content to promote Ragan events, including articles, previews, speaker profiles and supporting editorial features.
• Develop multimedia assets, including video, both remotely and on sight, for use as part of editorial content.
• Work on sponsored content such as white papers, long-form articles, tip sheets and thought leadership assets.
• Build strong relationships with sources across agencies, brands and the communications industry to support both editorial and marketing initiatives.
• Participate in live Ragan conferences and events several times a year.

• A data-driven focus, including experience with Google Analytics or similar tools.

Location:

• Fully remote, with a preference for candidates near major PR or communications hubs to support sourcing.
• Travel is required approximately five times per year for events and team-building activities.

Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in reporting.
• At least two years of experience in B2B trade media or a comparable professional audience environment.
• Four-year college degree required.
