Repair TechnicianPay: $17.75 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PMOvertime: Overtime as required Penmac Staffing is seeking dependable individuals for a Repair Technician position with a manufacturing client. This is a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and want to be part of a team that produces high-quality products.Requirements for the Repair Technician
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to identify problems and make repairs as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and reach throughout the workday
  • Previous manufacturing, fiberglass repair, automotive body repair, painting, or finishing experience is helpful but not required
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed
Repair Technician ResponsibilitiesAs a Repair Technician, you will inspect, repair, and finish fiberglass components to meet quality standards. Duties may include:
  • Inspecting hulls, decks, and completed products for defects or damage
  • Wiping, buffing, and preparing surfaces for repair
  • Sanding, polishing, and finishing repaired areas
  • Removing fiberglass defects using hand and power tools
  • Mixing and applying gel coat, catalyst, and other repair materials
  • Correcting paint defects and touch-up areas
  • Repairing cosmetic and structural imperfections
  • Repairing damage that occurs during manufacturing or assembly
  • Performing final inspections and detail work before products leave production
  • Following all safety and quality procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Performing other duties as assigned
