Repair Technicians perform repair, rework, assembly, and testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs). Depending on level, technicians may be responsible for basic soldering tasks, advanced troubleshooting, training, or procedure development.
Responsibilities:
Independently perform PCB repair, rework, and assembly processes.
Remove and replace advanced components, including BGAs and fine-pitch SMT.
Troubleshoot board-level issues and perform functional testing.
Set up and operate rework stations and testing equipment.
Assist in refining repair processes and documenting procedures.
Provide informal guidance to Level I technicians.
Perform in-line inspection and ensure compliance with IPC and company standards.
Qualifications:
2+ years of hands-on PCB repair and assembly experience.
Proficiency in soldering, rework, and troubleshooting of SMT, BGA, and thru-hole components.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Knowledge of ESD practices and industry standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, J-STD-001).
