    Description

    Job description

We're looking for a Repair Technician to keep our temperature-controlled containers ready to fly. You'll inspect returned containers, identify and classify damage against our damage catalogue, and carry out the defined repairs to the required standard - usually taking a container from inspection through to completion yourself, and working with a colleague on larger jobs. What's inside these containers is medicine that people are waiting on, so you'll be trusted to get it right and take ownership of the result.

We'll train you on our processes. What we're looking for is strong attention to detail to spot damage others might miss, the care and discipline to complete every repair to the required standard, and the ability to work efficiently through the day's containers without compromising quality.

Location: This is an on-site position, so you’ll need to be within a reasonable commuting distance of Cincinnati.

    What You'll Do:

    • Inspect returned containers thoroughly, identify all damage and classify each one against our damage catalogue

    • Carry out the defined repair to the specified standard, replacing defective components where needed

    • Test each container after repair to confirm it is safe and fully operational

    • Keep accurate records of what you found and what you did

    • Work on our more complex, actively controlled 6500X containers as that part of the fleet grows

    • Report damage types you haven't seen before, and speak up when you've found a better way to do a repair - our processes improve through the people doing the work

    • Follow applicable safety procedures, standards and regulations

    Job requirements

    What You'll Bring:

    • Trade school, apprenticeship, military technical training or equivalent hands-on experience, with a skilled-trade background such as automotive, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, welding/fabrication, manufacturing, aviation, marine/RV maintenance, construction or equipment repair

    • Strong practical skills with hand and power tools, with experience diagnosing and fixing technical problems

    • A thorough, methodical approach with high standards for your work - able to inspect the whole unit, follow defined processes and complete repairs accurately

    • Able to work efficiently without compromising quality, take ownership of a job through to completion, and work accurately and independently

    • Strong technical aptitude and teamwork skills, with the confidence to speak up when something could be improved; basic knowledge of electrical systems, sensors or refrigeration is an advantage for our 6500X units (training provided). Fluent English, written and spoken

If you don't meet every requirement but bring relevant experience, we'd still like to hear from you.
