Description
We are seeking an experienced Repair Design Engineer to support aerostructures repair development and non-conformance activities. This position will evaluate discrepant hardware, develop practical repair concepts, prepare technical substantiation, and produce complete repair documentation.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop repair designs for metallic and/or composite aerostructures
- Evaluate non-conforming and discrepant aircraft hardware
- Create repair concepts using CATIA V5 and GD&T
- Prepare repair substantiation and supporting engineering documentation
- Support engineering release and change-control processes
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Stress, Design, and Certification teams
- Ensure repair solutions meet technical, manufacturing, quality, and airworthiness requirements
Required qualifications:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Professional experience in aerospace repair design
- Experience with aircraft structural repairs
- Knowledge of metallic and/or composite structures
- Proficiency with CATIA V5 and GD&T
- Experience with non-conformance or MRB support
- Knowledge of repair substantiation and engineering-release processes
- Strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred experience:
- Fuselage, nacelle, or pylon product knowledge
- Experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with repair documentation and certification requirements
