Position Specific Description

The Regional Reliability Engineer will own performance metrics, Down Time Editing (DTE) platform management, and service request coordination. This position requires analyzing performance data to direct operational teams toward units contributing most to key performance indicators, investigating root causes, and ensuring focus on high-impact reliability issues. This opportunity offers work with renewable technology while optimizing NextEra Energys growing portfolio.

The role is based in Tracy, California and requires up to 20% travel and regular infield work/investigation.

Key Duties:

  • Managing regional ownership of the event response process, assisting investigations through Quality Investigation (QI) documentation, conducting Performance Impact Category analysis, and owning GADS reporting.

  • Expertise in root cause troubleshooting of high-impact failure modes using equipment knowledge and data analytics.

  • Manages event response processes, ensures proper service request documentation

  • Manage reliability data quality issues, perform data modeling and analysis, and identify, investigate, and resolve missed curtailment events.

  • Additional responsibilities include quality control of data modeling, driving Plant Health Dashboard improvements, ensuring parts documentation compliance, and supporting quality projects.

  • Occasional travel to FL for Business Leadership meetings

Highly Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelors Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of Electrical Engineer experience
  • Strong knowledge of Solar Photovoltaic and Battery Storage Systems
  • Reliability Engineering Principles, Data Analysis capabilities, and excellent communication skills
  • Six Sigma Certification and/or experience

The estimated base pay for this position is $92,000.00 to $138,000.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
