Rendering Maintenance Manager

About the Role

Lead maintenance and reliability for a rendering plant in a large food production operation. You own the equipment, systems and infrastructure, and you keep the plant safe, compliant and running. You are accountable 24/7 for critical assets and work as a key partner to operations.

What You Will Do

• Lead maintenance supervisors, mechanics, technicians and contractors; coach and develop the team
• Build and improve preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs
• Lead root cause analysis on equipment failures and drive uptime and asset life
• Run maintenance planning and scheduling, the CMMS and equipment records
• Enforce safety programs (LOTO, confined space, hot work, contractor safety) and OSHA and environmental compliance
• Manage the maintenance budget and KPIs: availability, downtime, PM completion, cost and reliability
• Run capital projects and major equipment installs with operations, engineering, EHS and safety

Working Conditions

On call for plant emergencies 24/7. Industrial setting with heat, noise, odors, moisture and outdoor work. Climbing ladders and working at heights.

Requirements

Required

• 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• 3+ years leading or supervising maintenance teams
• Experience managing maintenance budgets, programs and contractors

Preferred - Not Required

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology or maintenance management, or equivalent experience
• Background in rendering, poultry, food or feed manufacturing
• CMMS, reliability-centered maintenance and predictive maintenance tools
