We are seeking a Substation Senior Project Manager to oversee complex engineering and construction projects supporting electrical utilities and power delivery systems. This individual will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with the highest quality and safety standards.

    Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid or Remote with regional travel)
    Salary Range: $135,000 – $155,000 per year

    Role Overview:
    As the Substation Senior Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams through the full lifecycle of substation engineering projects. This includes scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate has experience managing utility infrastructure or power transmission projects and excels at balancing technical oversight with business operations. You will also contribute to resource planning, quality management, and client satisfaction initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery for substation projects

    • Manage budgets, schedules, risks, and performance metrics

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

    • Lead and mentor engineering and construction teams

    • Ensure compliance with industry safety and regulatory standards

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field

    • 8+ years of experience managing utility or substation projects

    • Strong financial and resource management experience

    • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera
