Remote Structural Steel & Misc Metals Estimator

Our client, a structural steel and miscellaneous metals contractor, is hiring a Remote Structural Steel & Misc Metals Estimator. This is a fully remote role supporting projects across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

What you'll do

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and estimates for structural steel and miscellaneous metals packages.
• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents, and identify scope gaps, risks, and clarifications.
• Price material, fabrication, detailing, and erection, and get supplier and subcontractor quotes.
• Build and submit competitive bid proposals, and follow up with general contractors.
• Work with project management and fabrication teams to hand awarded jobs off smoothly.

What you bring

• 4+ years of experience estimating structural steel and miscellaneous metals (required).
• Strong blueprint reading and takeoff skills.
• Experience with estimating software such as Tekla EPM/PowerFab, STRUMIS, Bluebeam, or similar.
• Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

What's offered

Salary of $80,000 - $115,000, full benefits, a fully remote schedule, and long-term growth with an established contractor.
