    Senior Epic Systems Analyst – Epic Payer Platform | Remote | Contract-to-Hire

    Sigma Systems Inc. is hiring a Senior Epic Systems Analyst for a long-term Contract-to-Hire opportunity with our client. This is a 100% remote position for an experienced Epic professional with strong systems analysis, configuration, testing, implementation, workflow optimization, and end-user support experience.

    Job Responsibilities

    Business & Systems Analysis

    • Conduct business and systems analysis to understand business needs and define system requirements.
    • Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
    • Document existing and future-state workflows and processes.
    • Work closely with users and stakeholders to translate business needs into effective Epic solutions.

    Epic System Design & Implementation

    • Design, build, test, implement, and support Epic Payer Platform applications.
    • Configure Epic environments to support standardized and comprehensive workflows.
    • Participate in system implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and ongoing application support.
    • Evaluate new Epic functionality and technologies and recommend improvements.

    Workflow Optimization

    • Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for optimization.
    • Evaluate the user experience and recommend enterprise-level solutions.
    • Develop and maintain workflow documentation.
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, and system usability.

    Application Support & Problem Resolution

    • Partner with end users to identify, investigate, and resolve complex system issues.
    • Perform root cause analysis and develop sustainable solutions.
    • Troubleshoot application and workflow problems.
    • Provide ongoing application/environment support and maintenance.

    System Maintenance & Configuration

    • Configure approved changes within Epic environments.
    • Maintain application functionality and standardized workflows.
    • Research new functionality and assess potential impacts on existing processes.
    • Recommend approaches that improve current practices and support organizational objectives.

    Project Management

    • Independently contribute to and manage medium- to large-scale Epic projects.
    • Coordinate project activities and deliverables.
    • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and timelines to stakeholders.
    • Work collaboratively with technical teams, business users, and healthcare stakeholders.

    Process Improvement

    • Independently identify opportunities for process improvement.
    • Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to complex assignments.
    • Visualize, articulate, and solve complex business and technical problems.
    • Support continuous improvement of Epic applications and healthcare workflows.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • 5–7+ years of systems administration/application experience within one or more Epic modules.
    • Epic Application Certification or Accreditation required.
    • Experience with system analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support.
    • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and root-cause-analysis capabilities.
    • Strong customer service and end-user support skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
    • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
    • Knowledge of project management principles.
    • Ability to work independently on complex assignments.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of healthcare industry experience, preferably within the insurance/payer environment, may be considered in lieu of a degree.
    • Epic certification in one or more Payer Platform modules, such as:
      • Epic Payer Platform Core
      • Epic Payer Platform Member Experience
      • Epic Tapestry
    • 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting Epic Payer Platform solutions in a healthcare environment.
    • Experience working with healthcare insurance/payer workflows is highly desirable.
    • Experience supporting enterprise-level Epic implementations and optimization initiatives.
