Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client for an entry-level, fully remote Order Processing Specialist to join their growing operations team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the ins and outs of order management, fulfillment, and customer support in a fast-paced environment.
Day to day, you will spend your time reviewing incoming orders, entering data accurately into internal systems, and coordinating with warehouse, shipping, and customer service teams to make sure every order goes out correctly and on time. People who thrive in this role enjoy repeatable processes, catch small errors before they become big problems, and communicate clearly when something needs a second look. No prior order processing experience is required, just strong attention to detail, comfort with computers and basic software tools, and a reliable, self-motivated approach to remote work.
Responsibilities
- Review and process incoming customer orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Enter and update order information in the order management system
- Verify order details including pricing, quantities, shipping addresses, and payment information
- Communicate with customers regarding order status, delays, or discrepancies
- Coordinate with warehouse and shipping teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Identify and resolve order errors or exceptions before they impact the customer
- Maintain accurate records of orders, returns, and cancellations
- Assist with inventory checks and reporting as needed
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to order status
- Support month-end order reconciliation and reporting tasks
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required, some college coursework a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
- Comfortable learning new software systems, ERP or order management experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet home workspace
- Prior customer service or administrative experience preferred but not required
