Description

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client for an entry-level, fully remote Onboarding Specialist to join their People Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their HR career to own the new-hire experience from offer acceptance through the first successful weeks on the job, working with a company that genuinely invests in making people feel welcome from day one.

Day to day, you will juggle checklists, paperwork, systems access requests, and a steady stream of questions from excited new hires, all while keeping every detail organized and on schedule. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding for new hires from offer acceptance through their first 30 days
  • Send and track new-hire paperwork including offer letters, tax forms, and policy acknowledgments
  • Schedule and host virtual welcome sessions and orientation meetings
  • Partner with IT and facilities teams to provision laptops, accounts, and system access ahead of start dates
  • Maintain accurate onboarding records and checklists in the HRIS platform
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new-hire questions during the transition period
  • Collect and organize I-9, background check, and compliance documentation
  • Communicate onboarding timelines and expectations clearly to hiring managers and candidates
  • Gather feedback from recent hires to continuously improve the onboarding experience
  • Support HR team with light administrative and reporting tasks as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor degree preferred
  • Prior internship, administrative, or customer service experience is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with HRIS or applicant tracking systems is a plus but not required
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with reliable internet access
  • A warm, professional, service-oriented attitude
