Manager – Leave of Absence (Remote) to support our client's healthcare facility in
Menomonee Falls, WI.
Job Details:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week.
Location: Fully Remote
Job Type: Local contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks Contract (Possible extension)
Pay Range: $55.00 to $60.00/hour*
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.
Duties: - The Manager, Leave of Absence (LOA) is responsible for leading and managing the region's leave administration programs for team members across multiple locations and team member populations.
- This role oversees all aspects of leave management, including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations, personal leaves, military leave, workers' compensation coordination, state and local leave regulations, and short-term and long-term disability programs.
- The Manager serves as the organization's subject matter expert on leave and accommodation processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering a positive team member experience.
- This position partners closely with Human Resources, Team Member Concerns, Benefits, Legal, Occupational Health, Payroll, external leave administrators, and operational leaders to develop efficient, compliant, and team member-centered leave programs
Requirements: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- License(s): None
- Certification(s): SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CEBS, or related certification – Highly Preferred.
- Years of experience:
- Seven (7) or more years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant experience managing leave of absence and accommodation programs.
- Three (3) or more years of leadership experience managing HR professionals or leave administration teams.
- Experience in processing leave requests and coordinating accommodations in accordance with ADA regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, USERRA, workers' compensation, disability programs, and state leave laws.
- Experience working with third-party leave administrators and disability carriers.
Skills/Specialties/Technology:- Demonstrated ability to manage complex employment and compliance matters.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferred Skills & Experience:- Experience within a large healthcare system or similarly complex organization.
- Experience with HRIS and leave management systems such as Workday, Infor, UKG, AbsenceOne, Lincoln, Sedgwick, or similar platforms.
