Description

Pride Health is hiring an Inpatient Coding Auditor (DRG Validation) to support our client's healthcare facility in Oklahoma City, OK.
 
Job Details: 
Schedule: 
 Monday–Friday (During training 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST); after training, flexible hours between 6:00 AM–6:00 PM CST.
Location:  Fully Remote (Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, and Arkansas)

Contract Length: 13 weeks Contract (Possible extension)
Pay Range: $43.00 to $46.00/hour*
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  
 
Duties: 
  • Perform inpatient coding audits, peer reviews, DRG validation, and quality reviews.

  • Validate principal/secondary diagnoses, procedures, ICD-10-PCS codes, and DRG assignments.

  • Conduct pre-bill reviews, CDI reconciliations, and second-level account reviews.

  • Respond to coding questions and assist with physician queries.

  • Identify coding error trends and recommend workflow improvements.

  • Develop training materials and provide coaching/mentoring to coding staff.

  • Support onboarding and training of new employees.

  • Maintain coding accuracy, productivity, compliance, and data quality standards.

  • Use Epic, Solventum/3M 360, MS-DRGs, and APR-DRGs.

Requirements: 
  • Education: HSD or GED required. 
  • License(s):
  • Certification(s): RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CIC Required.
  • Years of experience: 
    • 4+ years of acute-care inpatient facility coding experience.

    • 3+ years of inpatient coding auditing/DRG validation experience, including 2+ years in an Academic Health Center preferred/required per posting.

    • Strong experience with principal diagnosis, DRG assignment, secondary diagnosis, and ICD-10-PCS coding.

    • Acute-care and trauma coding experience required; Academic Medical Center/Trauma Center experience preferred.

    • Experience with Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic, Orthopedic, and General/Oncology Surgery cases.

    • Physician query experience.

  • Skills/Specialties/Technology:
    • Pre-employment Inpatient Coding and Auditing assessments are required before the interview.

    • Training is expected to be completed within 2 weeks.

    • Full productivity is expected within 4 weeks.

    • Remote setup requires Windows 11, dual monitors, a webcam, and reliable high-speed internet.
