    Remote Healthcare Call Center Representative

    Contract-to-Hire | Remote

    Locations: Pittsburgh, PA; Wilmington, DE; Camp Hill, PA; or Parkersburg, WV
    Work Arrangement: Remote – Local Candidates Only
    Job Type: 3-Month Contract with Contract-to-Hire Potential
    Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizens Only

    Schedule

    Candidates must be available to work any 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, including the standard 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM shift.

    Local Candidate Requirement – Important

    Although this is a remote position, candidates must be local to one of the following office locations:

    • Pittsburgh, PA
    • Wilmington, DE
    • Camp Hill, PA
    • Parkersburg, WV

    Candidates must reside within a 45-minute commute of the applicable office location.

    Position Overview

    Sigma Systems Inc. is currently hiring a Remote Healthcare Call Center Representative for a valued healthcare client.

    This is a remote opportunity for professionals with strong customer service and communication skills. Candidates with experience in healthcare, health insurance, or high-volume call center environments are strongly preferred.

    The successful candidate will assist members and healthcare providers with questions related to claims, eligibility, benefits, and other healthcare-related inquiries while providing a high level of professionalism and empathy.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Handle a high volume of inbound healthcare-related calls
    • Assist members and healthcare providers with:
      • Claims status inquiries
      • Eligibility questions
      • Benefit information
      • General healthcare-related inquiries
    • Navigate multiple computer systems and applications simultaneously
    • Utilize Avaya and other call-handling systems as required
    • Provide accurate, professional, and empathetic customer service
    • Document customer interactions accurately and completely
    • Meet established call center performance and quality metrics
    • Follow company policies, procedures, and attendance requirements
    • Participate fully in a camera-on virtual training program
    • Maintain active participation and engagement throughout training and working hours

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong computer navigation and multitasking abilities
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Professional demeanor with excellent attendance and punctuality
    • Comfortable working on camera during training and as required
    • Must have a quiet, professional, and distraction-free home workspace
    • Must have reliable high-speed internet
    • Must be able to work the required schedule, including the 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM shift
    • Must be local to Pittsburgh, PA; Wilmington, DE; Camp Hill, PA; or Parkersburg, WV
    • Must reside within a 45-minute commute from the applicable office location
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous healthcare or health insurance call center experience
    • Experience handling member or provider inquiries
    • Previous experience working in a high-volume call center
    • Experience with CRM systems
    • Experience using multiple applications and systems simultaneously
    • Bilingual Spanish/English candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

    Important Training & Attendance Requirements

    • Attendance and punctuality are critical for this position.
    • Missing more than 3 days during the 6-week training program may result in termination.
    • Candidates must be fully committed to the training schedule and working hours.
    • This is not a flexible position; consistent availability is required.
    • Candidates must maintain a quiet and professional environment while working.
    • Smoking, vaping, or use of e-cigarettes is not permitted during training or work calls.
    • Child-care or elder-care responsibilities must not interfere with job duties, training, attendance, or scheduled working hours.

    Bonus & Career Opportunity

    $250 Training Completion Bonus

    Eligible candidates may receive a $250 bonus upon successful completion of training and meeting the required attendance and performance criteria.

    $500 Retention Bonus

    Eligible candidates may receive a $500 retention bonus after successfully completing the first 6 months.
