Estimator
Job Description
Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and civil construction projects. Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate project pricing. Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and scope coverage. Evaluate project risks, opportunities, and value engineering alternatives during the estimating process. Support preconstruction efforts from conceptual budgeting through final proposal submission. Conduct occasional site visits to gather project information and support estimating activities. Work closely with leadership and operations teams to ensure estimates align with project goals and company standards. Assist with estimating efforts for quick-service restaurant, commercial, and site development projects.
The Successful Applicant
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience estimating commercial and/or civil construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work remotely while supporting projects throughout the Eastern Time Zone.
- Experience collaborating with subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with quick-service restaurant (QSR) construction projects.
- Knowledge of site development and civil construction scopes.
