    Now Hiring: Epic Application Analyst

    Sigma, Inc. is seeking an experienced Epic Application Analyst to support Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora, CO. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled healthcare IT professional with experience in Epic applications, system optimization, troubleshooting, workflow design, and end-user support.

    The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on application support experience, and the ability to collaborate with clinicians, IT teams, and vendors in a fast-paced healthcare environment.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze and troubleshoot complex Epic application and system issues
    • Identify root causes and resolve or escalate technical problems appropriately
    • Plan, design, implement, maintain, optimize, and support healthcare IT applications
    • Gather and translate technical requirements into functional specifications
    • Collaborate with end users, analysts, developers, and IT teams throughout system lifecycle activities
    • Configure, test, and maintain workflows and application functionality
    • Support application upgrades, enhancements, and monthly system updates
    • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for Epic systems and end users
    • Document technical specifications, workflows, troubleshooting steps, and support materials
    • Work with report developers and stakeholders to clarify reporting needs
    • Coordinate testing, debugging, implementation, and system validation activities
    • Partner with vendors to troubleshoot issues and recommend improvements
    • Mentor junior team members and support technical skill development
    • Lead or support complex IT projects and workflow optimization initiatives
    • Participate in on-call support rotation as needed

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Minimum of 4 years of related IT application analyst experience
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for experience
    • Strong experience supporting healthcare applications and troubleshooting system issues
    • Ability to analyze workflows and optimize application performance
    • Experience working with end users, vendors, and technical teams
    • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills

    Epic Certification Requirement

    • Epic certification in the primary application is required within 4 months of hire
    • Mandatory Epic training provided by the organization
    • Candidates will receive two attempts to pass Epic certification testing
