Remote Docketing Specialist

Location: California (100% Remote)

About the Opportunity

Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a highly regarded law firm to seek an experienced Legal Docketing Specialist for a temporary, fully remote position. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with extensive experience in calendaring and docketing for both state and federal courts.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of court rules, exceptional organizational skills, and hands-on experience with CompuLaw. Experience with AMLaw firms is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage firmwide legal calendars and docketing systems.
  • Calculate, calendar, and track litigation deadlines in accordance with state and federal court rules.
  • Review court filings, notices, orders, and pleadings to identify and enter critical deadlines.
  • Ensure accuracy of all docket entries and calendared events.
  • Monitor upcoming deadlines and communicate important dates to attorneys and legal staff.
  • Research court rules and procedural requirements as needed.
  • Support litigation teams with docketing-related inquiries and deadline management.
  • Generate and distribute deadline reports and litigation calendars.
  • Maintain compliance with firm policies and best practices related to docketing and calendaring.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of legal docketing experience in a law firm environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with CompuLaw required.
  • Strong working knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures.
  • Experience calendaring litigation deadlines across multiple jurisdictions.
  • AMLaw firm experience strongly preferred.
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal technology platforms.

Compensation: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: Full-Time Temporary Assignment

Work Arrangement: Fully Remote
