Scion Staffing is conducting a search for a Director of Firm Operations & Client Services on behalf of an innovative, plaintiff-side litigation law firm. This is a direct-hire, fully remote opportunity for an experienced legal operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats across firm operations, finance, HR, and client services.

What You'll Do

As the Director of Firm Operations & Client Services, you will oversee the firm's operational infrastructure while serving as a trusted resource for clients throughout the lifecycle of their matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and operational performance metrics
  • Prepare recurring financial and pipeline reports for firm leadership
  • Oversee payroll coordination, employee benefits administration, onboarding, and HR compliance across a multi-state remote workforce
  • Manage vendor relationships, software licensing, operational budgets, and office systems
  • Administer user access, onboarding, offboarding, and technology platforms including legal and business management systems
  • Serve as the primary client contact for case updates, settlement communications, and general client support
  • Coordinate intake operations from initial inquiry through signed engagement
  • Monitor referral sources, marketing performance, and operational efficiency
  • Support legal staff with administrative and case-related projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in legal operations, law firm administration, business operations, or office management
  • Experience overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling
  • Experience administering payroll, employee benefits, and HR processes
  • Comfortable managing vendor relationships, contracts, and operational systems
  • Experience with legal case management platforms such as Clio, Filevine, MyCase, or similar software preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $100,000-$130,000 annually, depending on experience
