Description

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Remodeling Project Manager for our client in Springfield, OR. The successful candidate will bring strong construction project management experience and sharp attention to budget, schedule, and quality to lead design-build remodeling projects from start to finish.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $31.25/hr

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, approximately 40 hours per week, with occasional evening or weekend work. Regular travel is required within a 50-mile radius of Springfield, OR; a personal vehicle is required for work-related travel, and a travel stipend is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned design-build remodeling projects from pre-start through completion, ensuring cost, schedule, safety, quality, and documentation standards are met.

  • Serve as team captain for the production team, managing field personnel selection, performance, training, and coaching in partnership with the General Manager and HR.

  • Manage trade contractors and coordinate on-site project layout and scheduling.

  • Participate in project estimating, reviewing specifications and cost breakdowns, and preparing for the pre-start conference.

  • Prepare projects for production, including ordering materials, negotiating with trade contractors, securing permits, and confirming materials testing.

  • Monitor project costs and budgets, track job-cost comparisons, and take corrective action to keep projects on budget.

  • Handle client billing and payment collection and approve trade contractor and materials invoices.

  • Coordinate change orders, manage the pre-completion punch list, and confirm final inspections are complete.

  • Build client relationships and support marketing efforts by contributing project photos, videos, and updates.

Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience in housing, construction, architectural design, cost estimating, specification writing, or building permit procurement.

  • Proven experience managing complex construction projects, including budgeting, estimating, and cost control.

  • Strong computer proficiency and basic math skills.

  • Excellent customer service, client relationship management, and dispute resolution skills.

  • Strong leadership, team collaboration, and personnel management abilities.

  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and prioritization skills.

  • Valid driver's license and a personal vehicle for work-related travel.

  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.

Work Environment

This role requires regular standing and walking across active construction sites, including on varied and uneven surfaces. Physical demands may include lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials, tools, or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted; climbing ladders or scaffolding; and bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, or crawling to access work areas. Field work may involve exposure to changing environmental conditions typical of construction sites, along with frequent travel between job sites, vendors, and the office.
