Penmac Staffing is seeking a Remanufacturing Technician for a full-time opportunity with a local manufacturing company. This hands-on position is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with tools, assembling components, and maintaining high-quality standards. Previous automotive, mechanical, or transmission experience is helpful, but candidates with strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply. Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to follow established specifications and standard operating procedures
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle transmission components and parts as required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to provide personal tools after 90 days of employment
Responsibilities
- Tear down transmissions for inspection and evaluation
- Inspect transmission components for wear, damage, and replacement needs
- Order required replacement parts through the internal parts department
- Assemble and rebuild transmissions according to company specifications and standard operating procedures
- Verify quality and accuracy throughout the remanufacturing process
- Maintain accurate work practices and production standards
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Assist with additional production and shop duties as assigned
