Legacy Staffing has partnered with a World-Class Hospital in Avon, OH to hire an experienced Relief Cook. This is a 1st shift floating opportunity with a pay rate of $16.00/hour based on experience and skill level. This role focuses on preparing meals for patients while maintaining quality, safety, sanitation, and dietary standards in a healthcare food service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare food for patient meal service
- Dip, portion, and plate food items as needed
- Operate kitchen equipment, including flat-top grills and ovens
- Follow recipes and meal preparation instructions accurately
- Ensure meals are prepared according to dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of workstations
- Follow food safety and infection control standards
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and reading comprehension skills
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of cooking and/or food handling experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must complete Cleveland Clinic onboarding requirements and obtain a facility badge
- Strong reading comprehension and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Flexibility to work varying schedules based on department staffing needs
Schedule:
This is a floating relief position designed to provide coverage for scheduled absences, vacations, and time off.
Candidates must be available to work within the department's operating hours of 5:30 AM - 7:30 PM and be flexible to cover either of the following shifts based on staffing needs:
- AM Cook Shift: 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM
- PM Cook Shift: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
This position requires flexibility to work either shift, as assigned. Employees should also be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
