    Reliability Planning Analyst
    Melville, NY

    Temp-to-Perm | Full-Time | 1st Shift

    TempExperts is seeking a Reliability Planning Analyst to support maintenance operations within a manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, and office environment in Melville, NY. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling maintenance work to improve workforce productivity, equipment reliability, and overall maintenance efficiency.

    The ideal candidate will have experience with maintenance planning, work-order management, scheduling, and CMMS systems, along with the ability to coordinate labor, materials, tools, and other resources required to complete maintenance work safely and efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    • Review and plan maintenance work orders to determine scope, required resources, and best practices.

    • Develop detailed job plans identifying labor, parts, materials, tools, permits, equipment, and outside services required to complete work.

    • Coordinate maintenance schedules with operations and maintenance leadership to optimize workforce and equipment availability.

    • Prioritize preventive, predictive, corrective, and service work orders.

    • Manage maintenance work orders, backlog, spare parts, and equipment history within the CMMS.

    • Coordinate parts and materials in advance, including bills of materials and kits for planned work.

    • Develop recurring job plans and improve preventive and predictive maintenance processes.

    • Review completed work orders and compare planned versus actual work to identify opportunities for improvement.

    • Analyze unplanned maintenance events and identify corrective or preventive actions.

    • Perform root cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Track maintenance performance metrics, including PM compliance, schedule compliance, backlog, and planned versus reactive maintenance.

    • Prepare reports, analyze maintenance data, and provide recommendations to improve equipment reliability and maintenance operations.

    • Coordinate with maintenance technicians, operations, engineering, and management to resolve planning and scheduling issues.

    • Identify work requiring specialized personnel, tools, engineering support, or additional approvals and escalate as appropriate.

    • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, procedures, and equipment records.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Minimum of 2 years of facility or maintenance planning experience.

    • Experience planning and coordinating maintenance work, including labor, materials, parts, tools, and scheduling.

    • Experience working with work orders and maintenance processes in a facility, manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.

    • Strong understanding of preventive and/or predictive maintenance practices.

    • Ability to read and understand maintenance-related documentation and coordinate work involving multiple skilled trades.

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing work requests.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    • Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and identify opportunities for process improvement.

    • Must be able to successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

    • Ability to obtain required site access credentials.

    Preferred:

    • Experience with a CMMS such as Maximo, SAP, or a similar maintenance management system.

    • Experience developing preventive or predictive maintenance plans.

    • Experience coordinating parts, materials, and skilled labor for maintenance projects.

    • Experience developing maintenance procedures and job plans.

    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, 5S, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.

    • Experience with Microsoft Project.

    • Practical understanding of skilled trades such as electrical, mechanical, HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, or related facility systems.
