Philip Morris USA in Richmond, VA is hiring a Reliability Maintenance Technician to safeguard uptime and quality across our production operations. If you’ve thrived as a Maintenance Technician, Industrial Mechanic, Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, or Equipment Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll feel right at home—and challenged.

What you’ll do

  • Repair and restore production machinery and support equipment
  • Diagnose faults; use hand/power tools and measuring instruments to execute precise fixes
  • Rebuild subassemblies and components; change out worn or defective parts
  • Perform both scheduled preventive maintenance and urgent reactive work
  • Read and apply machine schematics, parts prints, and procedure manuals
  • Operate equipment to verify that repairs meet performance and safety expectations
  • Collaborate with teammates to solve problems and improve reliability

Pay and incentives

  • $44.00 per hour starting rate
  • Eligible to earn $51.76 per hour after 120 days
  • Shift differentials: $0.40/hour (B‑shift) and $0.48/hour (C‑shift)
  • Additional compensation potential via our manufacturing incentive program

What you bring

  • 18+ years of age
  • Be eligible to work in the U.S. and for the Altria family of companies
  • Available for any shift; willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Journeyman mechanical credentials or relevant mechanical maintenance experience (manufacturing or military)
  • Consistently reliable attendance
  • Drive to learn, grow, and tackle new challenges
