Description:

You will be the Reliability Engineer for the Reliability Engineering team which is responsible for developing and executing reliability studies, analyses, and improvement programs that ensure high‑performance, dependable systems.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for leading technical reliability initiatives, defining statistical controls, and delivering actionable improvements to product and process reliability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct reliability studies and design‑of‑experiments (DOE) to evaluate engineering concepts and identify failure mechanisms.
  • Recommend design, test methods, and statistical process‑control procedures that meet required reliability targets.
  • Compile and analyze performance reports and process‑control statistics, investigating variables that affect product and process reliability.
  • Create and manage reliability engineering programs that align with company, customer, and government reliability objectives, proposing design or formulation changes when needed.
  • Serve as subject‑matter expert for preventive, predictive, and condition‑based maintenance technologies, supporting facility uptime and Plant Engineering knowledge development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Project management experience
  • Scheduling and planning experience
  • Knowledge of reducing unscheduled equipment downtime across critical assets, preserving production capacity and protecting capital investments.
  • Ability to generate incremental productivity gains for Plant Engineering through data driven PM optimization and rapid fault isolation.

Desired Skills:

  • Expertise in tracking critical systems unscheduled maintenance downtime.
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis events, documenting actions and driving process improvements.
  • Experience in direct cost avoidance by intercepting equipment failures prior to occurrence.
  • Subject Matter Expert in preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance methodologies.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
