A day in your life
You start your morning in the CMMS, translating production needs into a clear maintenance plan. You line up parts from McMaster-Carr, Grainger, and OEM partners, confirm stock on hand, and adjust orders to stay on budget. You huddle with the Maintenance Manager and Production Supervisor, sorting the preventive maintenance backlog and locking in priorities so nothing gets deferred. As work kicks off, you coordinate technicians, verify safety and food-safety requirements, and audit completed work orders for accuracy and compliance with OSHA, SQF, and other regulations.
What you’ll do
- Prioritize, plan, schedule, audit, and document corrective and preventive maintenance work orders aligned to the production schedule and compliant with OSHA, SQF, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Direct the day-to-day activities of maintenance technicians and ensure quality execution of assigned work.
- Partner with the Maintenance Manager on larger repairs and projects; collaborate with the Production Supervisor to minimize downtime.
- Order parts and manage suppliers (McMaster-Carr, Grainger, OEMs), track spend, and control inventory to maximize uptime while meeting budget targets.
- Maintain organized stock rooms, accurate counts, and ready-to-use spares.
- Own the preventive maintenance backlog—keep priorities current and work flowing so tasks don’t age or get pushed.

What you bring
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or comparable education/experience mix.
- Experience with a CMMS; FIIX preferred.
- 1–3 years of related industrial maintenance experience and/or training.
- Minimum 2 years specifically in maintenance planning.
