Shift Details:
Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:
Independently performs Registered Nurse duties and provides clinical supervision and instruction to Graduate Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and direct care staff.
Delegates appropriate nursing activities, skills, and procedures and conducts clinical rounds to assess nursing care needs and evaluate services.
Acts as liaison with outside agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care and follow-up; advocates for individuals needs and assists with discharge planning.
May supervise Graduate Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and direct care staff; provides information to Registered Nurse Supervisors and assists with staff reports and performance evaluations.
Conducts nursing assessments and obtains, records, and updates health information and vital signs.
Develops, implements, and modifies nursing care plans; assists with examinations and treatments; and administers medications and nursing procedures as prescribed.
Observes and documents symptoms, conditions, diet, physical activity, and responses to medications or changes in health status.
Serves as a nursing representative on treatment teams and coordinates with other healthcare disciplines to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
Provides health teaching, counseling, and education to individuals, families, and groups and develops health improvement programs.
Implements infection control protocols and provides related staff instruction.
Maintains accurate charts, records, and documentation in accordance with agency, State, and federal requirements.
Monitors inventories and ensures medications, solutions, supplies, and equipment meet nursing care needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted NY license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Minimum of one (1) year/s of recent experience as an RN.
Background check requirements: Fingerprint, SEL, SCR, SAM, Medicare, and Medicaid checks are all required.
Vaccination requirements: Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and influenza vaccines are required.
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
