Manager Rehab – Parkview DeKalb Hospital / Bryan & Montpelier, IN

Our client is seeking a Manager Rehab for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity. Candidates may be licensed Physical Therapists (PT), Occupational Therapists (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP).

This position is primarily based at Parkview DeKalb Hospital in Auburn, IN, with additional support provided at Bryan and Montpelier Hospitals. The anticipated schedule is approximately 3 days per week at DeKalb and 2 days per week at Bryan and Montpelier.

This is a 40-hour-per-week, day-shift position, Monday through Friday, with no weekends. The role is heavily outpatient and focused primarily on department management and administrative responsibilities rather than maintaining an individual patient caseload.

The Manager facilitates program development and growth and provides therapy services in accordance with their area of licensure.

Sign-on Bonus: Up to $15,000

Manager Rehab Job Responsibilities

·        Managing the daily operations of the therapy department at the assigned community hospital site.

·        Providing leadership, direction, and oversight to therapy department staff.

·        Ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality patient care is provided to all populations served.

·        Supporting department program development, growth, and operational initiatives.

·        Collaborating with hospital leadership and other departments to support the delivery of quality rehabilitation services.

·        Providing therapy services within the individual's area of professional licensure as appropriate.

·        Supporting operations across Parkview DeKalb Hospital and the Bryan and Montpelier Hospital locations as assigned.

·        Monitoring department operations and working to maintain appropriate standards of care and service.

·        Supporting staff development, performance, and adherence to department and organizational standards.

·        Ensuring compliance with applicable professional standards, state practice acts, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.

·        Completing required documentation and administrative responsibilities in a timely manner.

·        Working at other locations as assigned.

·        If assigned to drive a company vehicle, maintaining a valid driver's license.

·        If driving a personal vehicle, maintaining a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

 

Manager Rehab Requirements/Knowledge & Skills

·        Must be a qualified Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist.

o   Speech-Language Pathologist: Must hold at minimum a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a school accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).

o   Physical Therapist: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.

·        Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 1/1/2016.

·        Doctorate of Physical Therapy required if graduated after 1/1/2016.

·        International Physical Therapy candidates must be graduates of an accredited school and possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.

·        Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree preferred.

·        Occupational Therapist: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.

·        Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy if graduated before 1/1/2002.

·        Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required if graduated after 1/1/2002.

·        International Occupational Therapy candidates must be graduates of an accredited school and possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.

·        Master's degree preferred.

·        Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state where services will be provided.

·        State licensure must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.

·        SLPs must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.

·        APTA, AOTA, or ASHA membership preferred, as applicable.

·        Must be CPR certified or become certified within the first 90 days of employment.

·        Must maintain all required licenses and certifications according to expiration dates.

·        Minimum of three years of experience as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist.

·        Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.

·        Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform shared lifting of up to 100 pounds.

·        Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

·        Must be willing and able to travel between Parkview DeKalb Hospital, Bryan Hospital, and Montpelier Hospital as assigned.
