Regulatory Specialist
Location: Erlanger, KY 41018
Pay: $35.00–$40.00/hr, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Duration: Contract Assignment | June 29, 2026 – April 30, 2027 (10–15 months)
Overview
Seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory Specialist to support regulatory compliance activities for products and raw materials. This role is responsible for researching regulations, maintaining technical documentation, supporting customer compliance requests, and providing guidance to internal teams including R&D, Procurement, Quality, and Commercial departments.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and update regulatory and technical product documentation.
- Prepare and review manufacturing specifications, ingredient statements, allergen declarations, nutritional information, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Support compliance reviews for GMO, Organic, Kosher, Halal, Country of Origin, and country-specific regulations.
- Work directly with vendors to obtain and interpret raw material documentation.
- Maintain accurate regulatory and technical information within internal databases.
- Serve as a regulatory resource for cross-functional teams.
- Provide guidance on regulatory requirements to support product development and procurement activities.
- Assist with maintaining and updating Regulatory ISO procedures and work instructions.
- Apply company and customer regulatory policies to daily operations.
- Support customer compliance requests and documentation needs.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional experience.
- Experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the food, beverage, flavor, cosmetic, or oral-care industries.
- Strong ability to research, interpret, and apply regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to learn new software and ERP systems quickly.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FDA and Canadian regulations.
- Familiarity with European Union (EU) food and flavor regulations.
- Laboratory analytical experience.
- Project management experience.
- Background in a science or technical field.
