Purpose of the role
To ensure that the financial services regulation activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and to help the bank manage legal and regulatory risks associated with these activities.

Join us as a Regulatory Implementation Legal - VP, where you'll lead strategic legal initiatives to help Barclays stay aligned with evolving U.S. financial regulations. In this role, you'll advise on SEC reforms, manage legal risk, and guide the business through complex regulatory changes across investment banking and corporate areas. You'll collaborate with senior stakeholders, shape governance decisions, and represent the firm in key legal and industry forums. This is an opportunity to influence legal strategy at the core of a global financial institution.
To be successful as a Regulatory Implementation Legal - VP, you should have :
Juris Doctor (JD) and active NY Bar membership
Background in U.S. securities law, SEC reforms, and market regulation
Expertise advising on regulatory developments and implementation impact
Proven ability to lead or support regulatory change initiatives
Highly valued skills:
Clear communicator with the ability to translate legal issues into business context
Effective at engaging stakeholders across legal, compliance, and front-office teams
Skilled at managing priorities in a dynamic, high-stakes environment
Experience in law firms, financial institutions, or regulatory bodies
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in New York.
Minimum Salary: $200,000
Maximum Salary: $290,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
