Regular Education Paraprofessional (WIN - Math/Reading Intervention) / Special Education Paraprofessional

Job Goal: To provide support to regular education and special education students to provide academic instruction to students needing intervention and to meet the needs of students with disabilities. This position will also assist with lunch and recess supervision.

Reports to: Building Principal, Director of Student Services, and Supervising Teacher.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist identified students with academic, functional, social and behavioral needs as identified by the students individual education plan and the case manager.
• Perform necessary data collection as directed by the special education teacher.
• Create educational materials as directed by the special education teacher.
• Provide input on the students current level of functioning, progress on IEP goals or other areas.
• Complete necessary reports and documentation for SBS billing for eligible students.
• Demonstrate care and sensitivity to individual, physical, academic and emotional needs of students.
• Provide support to students in a variety of settings, including the general education classroom, special education rooms, hallways, recess areas and school bus.
• Perform all other job related duties as assigned by Director of Student Services, Building Principal or designee for the benefit of the district.
