The ETSU Office of the Registrar invites applications for a Temporary Records Assistant. This temporary hourly position provides clerical and customer service support for the Records area of the Registrar''s Office. This position has the potential to transition into a permanent position based on departmental needs and available funding. The position will assist with daily office operations, respond to routine inquiries from students, faculty, and staff, and provide support with processing and maintaining student records and documents.
The Temporary Records Assistant will perform general clerical duties including answering telephone calls, assisting customers in the office, monitoring and responding to routine email inquiries, scanning and indexing documents, processing records-related requests, performing data entry, researching student records, and assisting with other Records Office functions as needed.
This position requires attention to detail, professionalism, excellent customer service, and the ability to maintain the confidentiality of student information in accordance with FERPA.

Physical Demands
This position primarily involves work in an office environment and requires the ability to perform routine computer and clerical tasks. Duties may include prolonged periods of sitting, using a computer and telephone, retrieving and handling records or documents, and occasional movement of office supplies or materials.
