    The registrar specialist will be responsible for processing transfer evaluations, graduation audits, degree progress audits, and other official University documentation related to student academic records. The registrar specialist will work with the broader team to support a high-volume ticketing queue for exceptional student service.

    The primary focus of the specialist is processing academic records and offering support to students, faculty, and staff via phone and web calls, support requests via our ticketing system, email, and in-person appointments. This role reports to the registrar.

    The position has typical office hours at our West Point location, with limited opportunity for virtual work. The registrar specialist should anticipate longer hours near the beginning and end of academic terms and is required to support graduation (a Saturday) and occasional institutional events.

    Essential Duties

    • Maintain a working knowledge of college information and all records-related processes by continuously reviewing/updating the student information to maintain alignment with the University Academic Catalog.
    • Process records requests by faculty and staff, including but not limited to administrative course drops, grade changes, course creation, schedule changes, or registration overrides.
    • Efficiently and effectively process transfer evaluations, graduation audits, degree audits, schedule changes, and degree changes with related data for students to support matriculation, retention, and graduation.
    • Effectively communicate departmental requirements, policies, and procedures relevant to students throughout their academic experience at Point University.
    • Maintain a confidential workplace with respect to student records in accordance with FERPA.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Attributes

    • Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
    • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
    • Excellent communication skills, including oral and written communication.
    • Detail-oriented.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Proficient with MS Office products.

    Preferred Attributes

    • Experience with Ellucian Colleague or other student information systems.
    • Experience working in a registrar's office.
