Position Overview

The Legacy Prep Charter Registrar is a senior administrator who manages the registrar's office, registers students, and keeps academic records.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Register students Keep academic records Correspond with applicants and evaluate their credentials Manage and lead the registrar's office Maintain and submit reports, records, and correspondence Ensure confidentiality of information Type, prepare, distribute, file, and/or mail correspondence Operate word processing software, data entry software, and other computer applications Assist with preparation for meetings, projects, visiting groups, delegations, or conferences Communicate by email or electronic messaging Answer incoming phone calls in a pleasant, informed manner for the purpose of providing and creating a positive image and first impression of the school Greet all incoming scholars, families, and guests respectfully and professionally, determining their needs, checking scheduled appointments, and directing them to the proper person Receive and distribute miscellaneous materials such as school supplies, student lunches, forms, homework, assignments, athletic equipment, etc. left with the front office for students by their parents, and/or others Be knowledgeable and current on school activities, programs, and events related to the school calendar Require all visitors to sign-in and identify themselves; provide appropriate passes and badges following school protocol Check students in and out; Make sure attendance is done before 9:00 am Enter excuses daily so that it does not affect the school 20 day count. Sort and distribute incoming mail, documents, books, materials and supplies following established procedures and delivered mail with help of the Front Office. Receive deliveries from outside supply and delivery services; arrange for the distribution to proper recipients with the help of the Front Office. Assist Executive Assistant with administrative duties as assigned Business casual attire. Jeans permitted on Fridays.

Employment Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:

At least two years of experience (highly preferred) At least one year of adult management Professional customer service skills Articulate, professional demeanor with strong self-confidence and initiative Extreme flexibility to accommodate multiple priorities and a strong work ethic to accommodate high level of responsibilities

Skillset:

Deep knowledge of state attendance policies Is solution-oriented and creative problem solver with experience in data analysis and creating and managing systems Adaptable: Manage uncertainty; demonstrate resilience, resolve, and flexibility in face of change Critical thinker and decision-maker: Analyze information and organize thinking to solve problems
