About the Role:Sierra Animal Wellness Center is looking for a passionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in Colfax, CA. Responsibilities:- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the attending veterinarian
- Collect and process laboratory samples including blood, urine, and tissue specimens
- Monitor and care for patients under anesthesia and during post-operative recovery
- Perform dental cleanings, radiographs, and other technical procedures
- Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding care plans, medications, and preventive health
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation in practice management software
- Ensure a clean, safe, and well-stocked clinical environment
Requirements:- Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in the state of California
- Experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting preferred
- Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, dental prophys, dental xrays, and anesthesia monitoring
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, surgical prep, and laboratory diagnostics
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, client-friendly demeanor
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Comfortable handling animals of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments
