Job Description:
Registered Nurse (Per Diem / Temp to Perm) for a private Special Education School specializing in the treatment of children ages 3-21 of various psychiatric diagnoses. Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential for this job role. New graduates are welcome to apply. Job duties include:
  • Administering medications and monitoring potential side effects of medications.
  • Experience with first aid treatment.
  • Maintain student health records (physical, school forms, immunization records, labs & consults).
  • Collaborating with a psychiatrist on treatment goals for students.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team regarding the treatment plan for students.
  • Facilitate positive student responses to normal growth and development. Provide therapeutic communication.
Requirements:
  • Current New York Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • CPR Certification
  • Child Abuse Certification
Job Type: 
  • PER DIEM
  • Temp to Perm 
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 2-3 Days a Week (must be flexible)
Pay Rate: $45.00 Hourly
Work Location: In person
