Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Job

We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider in Bismarck, ND where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state license in good standing with the State License Board of North Dakota.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) verification or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) verification; RRT preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum one year of experience as an RRT; must have NICU experience (required).
• Experience working across levels of care, including NICU, ICU, surgical, medical, cardiac, and level II trauma environments.
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
• Familiarity with ventilators and respiratory devices listed: Airvo, PB 840, PB 980, Hamilton C1, MR1, and V-60 Respironics preferred.
• Ability to work independently, exercise clinical judgment, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Must meet client radius and affiliation restrictions: candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with facilities associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within a 50 mile radius.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Hospital.
• Shift Name: Nights.
• Shift Pattern: 3x12s, every third weekend, every third holiday.
• Shift Times: Night shift schedule as established by facility (nights 1800-0630 noted in supporting details).
• Orientation: 3 shifts of unit/department specific orientation (3 x 12-hour shifts).
• Charting System: EPIC.
• Patient Population: Neonates through geriatrics, including NICU and ICU coverage. Coverage across inpatient areas and other departments as assigned.
• Floating: May be required to cover all areas throughout the facility.

Additional Information

Orientation hours: 12. Cancellation policy: 3 shifts per contract. RTO required within 7 days of assignment start for this client.
