    Description


    Job Summary:


    Performs radiologic procedures at a technical level requiring limited supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing existing standards as a guide. Demonstrates the ability to utilize independent judgment in the completion of routine exams/procedures.


    Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required including specialized radiologic areas such as angiographic/interventional Special Procedures, and portable imaging. May be assigned station fill position within other areas of the department.


    Provides general supervision/direction to Radiologic Technologist Level I. Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as a technologist.


     


    Required Education and Experience:



    • Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technology training program in an A.M.A. Approved school.

    • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or other recognized credentialing body.

    • Must possess current Ohio license within area of assignment.


     


    Training, Required Licensure and Certifications:



    • BLS provider or obtain within 3 months of hire.


     


    Essential Key Job Responsibilities:



    • Completes level I diagnostic procedures.

    • Assists physicians in the administration of various contrast agents.

    • Able to perform all aspects of CR & PACS.

    • Assists in unique procedures as requested.

    • Coordinates multiple exams with all other modalities within Radiology.

    • Provides education to patient and/or family members and practices patient safety guidelines.

    • In the absence of Administrative Technologists, assumes responsibility for the department.

    • Participates in the department's Quality Assessment and Improvement efforts by assessing procedures, practices and processes, and recommending change.

    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
